This series of screen printed illustrations depicts and celebrates the beauty of my home town, Whitehaven, focusing on a few of the iconic landmarks of the small town. I was motivated to create this series due to the generally negative attitudes many young people have concerning Whitehaven and its quaint nature. By focusing on my use of vibrant colours and high saturation, I aimed to make the younger demographic of my hometown recognise the beauty of Whitehaven.
